EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW with DJ WHITE OWL!

Ever herd a great mixtape and found out it was put together by a dj called white owl? Well this is your chance  to see who dj white owl is and what all the hype is all about! Chris B. got a chance to catch up with the famous dj and host an interview for the dope feast blog!
Chris B:How  did you get the name White Owl and why?
White Owl:Honestly I don’t even remember exactly how I got it, I was always a nite owl, I would stay up till 3-4 in the morning even when I was like 8 years old, all my friends would always say DAMN your like an owl, I also use to write alot a graffitti so im guessin I just tagged it up one day and liked the way it looked , so I put a dj in front of it and stuck with it…but I do like owls too, so it just went good together.
CB:How do you feel about the current condition of the music  industry?
WL:The music industry in my opinion is great right now, there is alot of great music out and alot of up and coming artists, djs, etc,
CB:When did you decide you wanted to become a DJ and  get into the mixtape  business?
WL:I never decided it, IT CHOSE ME !!!! lol , For real tho its been in me since birth, the first time I remember scratching a record I was 4 years old, My mom went in the shower and I snuck over to my parents stereo equipment and started scratching to a DOUG E. FRESH / SLICK RICK RECORD (LA-DI-DA-DI) I even recorded it onto a tape.ANYWAY….I finally got equipment when I was 14 (A sony turntable, a radio shack mixer , and the original turntable I scratched on at 4 it was a old black technics slk500 or somethin like that) from there I practiced just making blends and tapes for myself. LONG STORY SHORT….a few years later, I started making blend cd’s , put them out and they kept moving out the stores, DROPPED a exclusive cd and it was a wrap……I havent made a blend cd since….(but i’ll get back to that in the future)
CB:Which  Artist  do  you believe is currently   taking  the industry over?
WL:LIL WAYNE (OF COURSE) and 50 CENT (at least in NEW YORK)
CB:What clothing line in your opinion, is the freshest out there?
WL:I keep it old school, LEVI’s, CHAMPION, NIKE, TIMBERLAND, COLUMBIA AND NORTH FACE
CB:If an artist wanted to get in touch with you, what would be the best way?
CB:I noticed you were in the process of releasing your website. What should the listeners expect out of it?
WL:As far as the website , its still in the process and being worked on, for now it has all the latest mixtapes I put out and any Artist mixtapes that ive hosted or worked on, also some older classics, in the future it will be based more towards promotion for up and coming artists , Dj’s, graphic designers , etc, and also all the newest whiteowl mixtapes.
